Baruch Hashem, the Beis Tefillah community has grown by leaps and bounds over the last year. As you are undoubtedly aware, we are in dire need of a building in order to accommodate our davening and learning needs. Although we have been able to establish our own homes in RBS in apartments or houses, we have yet to institute a viable physical structure for our communal spiritual growth. The responsibility now falls on all of us to make a financial contribution towards the building of an adequate shul/ beis medrash.
 

The board has decided that the building fund commitment will be $2000, which is equivalent to the other shuls in the area, payable over a two-year period. As per the Rav’s ruling, ma’aser money may be used for this endeavor.
 

The plans for the future beis medrash are now displayed in the shul. Each row in the beis medrash is accompanied with a number. When you make your $2,000 commitment, you then can choose your row that will become your family’s makom kavuah. It will also complete your membership responsibilities vis-à-vis the building fund, and allow you to have membership privileges for use of the future shul, social hall, and facilities. Reservation of permanent rows will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis, not based on seniority, age, number of children, etc. As soon as you make your commitment, you will be entitled to reserve a makom kavuah.
 

Benjamin Fishman has again selflessly volunteered to dedicate his time in collecting for the building fund. He lives at Nachal Refaim 23/6 and is available daily from 9:00 AM-7:00 PM. All arrangements must be done with him in person. No pledge will be taken over the telephone.

The community is on the verge of making great strides in providing a Mikdash ma’at that is functional and conducive to our collective needs.
